A tiger salamander guarding his turf! The one in-cave shot is of what we call the Router Borehole -- it looks machined! Chris K, Matt's friend, was urged to 'go-look' -- he is shown escaping! The cave lobster was attached to Matt's arm by Chris -- he was about 5 inches long -- a biggie, found by Chris who was not 'on duty' at the time.

Great close up! The photo with two people is of Matt and Chris, post caving. Chris is normally a fisherman, so he won't likely be joining us much. Still, he did well on instruments and would be an asset to the group should he deign to join us more regularly. Surveying in Cherylsbad

Matt is making some distance measurements with a Fluke. It takes practice and patience to get an accurate azimuth reading in the cave. A Big Brown watching from his roost.
